Online shops built around how you sell

WooCommerce, Shopify or a custom build, chosen for your products, your payments and the people who will run the shop day to day. Scoped properly before anything is built, so the price and timeline hold.

Shops are quoted per project, because the work is set by your catalogue and checkout rather than by page count.

A shop is a website first

It needs people to find it and a checkout they finish. Most shop builds stop at the products and leave the rest to someone else. Here the same person plans both.

  • A catalogue that is easy to browse and easy to run
  • A checkout people finish, tested end to end
  • Product pages built to be found on Google

Three ways to sell online

The platform follows from what you sell and who runs the shop, so it is the first thing we work out together, not an assumption we bring.

01 On WordPress

WooCommerce

A shop inside a WordPress site, so content and products live together and you control the design and data.

  • You already run WordPress, or want one site for content and shop
  • Products with custom options or add-ons

Watch for: Hosting and updates need looking after

02 Hosted

Shopify

A hosted platform where checkout, payments and security are handled for you, with a theme customised to your brand.

  • A growing catalogue and stock across channels
  • Staff who need a simple admin

Watch for: Monthly platform and app fees

03 Scoped

Custom

A lighter build with a hosted checkout, for when a full platform is more than the job needs.

  • A small catalogue with a simple checkout
  • A few products or vouchers alongside a fast site

Watch for: Less off-the-shelf tooling as you grow

Scoped first, then built

Shops go wrong when the catalogue and checkout are worked out during the build. Here they are agreed before it starts.

Every line of the scope is priced in the written quote, so you can see what moves the total. An example brief: an independent retailer with around 60 products, some in several sizes, selling across the UK with local collection.

Talk about your shop

What decides the work

A shop is quoted on these, because they are what actually takes the time. You get a written quote covering each before anything starts.

Products and variants

How many products, how many options each, and how they are grouped into categories.

Payments

Card payments, wallets and anything unusual, such as deposits or invoices.

Delivery and collection

Zones, rates, free delivery thresholds and click-and-collect.

Tax and VAT

How prices are shown and taxed, including any products that differ.

Stock and orders

Who fulfils, how stock is tracked and what each order email says.

Integrations

Accounting, email marketing, marketplaces or a booking system.

Content

Product photography, descriptions and how many products we load for you.

Who runs it

Training for the people adding products and processing orders.

Why Brava for your shop?

Because the person building your shop also runs the search and ads that bring people to it.

  • The platform is chosen for you

WooCommerce, Shopify or custom, recommended on what you sell and who runs it.

  • Built to be found

Product and category pages structured for search, with titles and descriptions written for real queries.

  • Measured from day one

Conversion tracking set up so sales from search and ads can be counted.

  • You own the store

Accounts, customer data and payment providers sit in your name.

How a shop project runs

Timelines depend on the catalogue and integrations, and are agreed in writing with the quote.

  1. 01

    Requirements

What you sell, how you take payment, how orders are fulfilled and who runs the shop.

  2. 02

    Platform and quote

A recommendation with the reasons, and a written quote covering every line of the scope.

  3. 03

    Catalogue structure

Categories, product types, variants and the fields each product needs.

  4. 04

    Design

Shop, category and product pages designed around your products, with two rounds of revisions.

  5. 05

    Build and integrations

The shop built on the agreed platform, with payments, delivery, tax and integrations configured.

  6. 06

    Test orders

Orders placed end to end: checkout, payment, emails, stock and refunds, on phones and desktops.

  7. 07

    Launch and training

Live, with a walkthrough of adding products and handling orders, and logins in your name.

Selling is the other half

Once the shop is live, the Grow services bring people to it. They are separate and optional.

Questions

Common questions.

Which platform should I use?

It depends on your products, how you take payment and who runs the shop. WooCommerce suits businesses already on WordPress or wanting full control. Shopify suits those who want hosting, checkout and security handled. A custom build suits a small catalogue with a simple checkout. We recommend one after looking at what you sell.

How much does an online shop cost?

It is quoted on scope. The number of products and variants, payment and delivery rules, integrations and how much content needs creating all move the price. You get a written quote before work starts.

Can you add a shop to my existing website?

Often, yes. A WordPress site can usually take WooCommerce, and a handful of products can sometimes sit on a simple hosted checkout without changing platform. We look at what you have before recommending anything.

Do you add all the products?

We can, or we can set up the catalogue structure and a few products and show your team how to add the rest. Which is better depends on how many you have and how often they change, and it is agreed in the quote.

Can you move my shop to a different platform?

Yes. A migration is scoped around products, customers, orders and keeping your existing addresses working, so the search visibility you have built is not lost.

Will the shop be ready for Google and ads?

Product and category pages are built to be found, and conversion tracking is set up so sales from search and ads can be measured. Running the ads is a separate service; see paid advertising.
