Most local SEO is a handful of unglamorous jobs done properly. We start with a free audit so you can see exactly what is holding you back, then you decide whether you want us to fix it.

The honest version

Most of it isn't
a dark art.

There is a lot of mystique around SEO, most of it sold by people who benefit from you not understanding it.

For a local business, the vast majority of the value sits in a handful of unglamorous jobs done properly: a Google Business Profile filled in correctly, a page for each thing you actually do, a site that loads quickly on a phone, consistent listings across the web, and a steady trickle of reviews. That is most of it.

What it is not is a monthly fee for a report nobody reads. If you are already paying someone and cannot say what they did last month, that is worth looking at, and the free audit will tell you whether you are getting value.

The work compounds, which is the whole point. Unlike ads, it does not stop the day you stop paying. But it is slow, and if you need the phone ringing this week then Google Ads is the right tool and we will say so.

What we do

The work,
in plain terms.

Four areas, in the order they usually matter for a local business.

01 01 Local

Google Business Profile

For most local trades this outranks everything else you could do. It is what puts you in the map pack, and it is the first thing we look at.

  • Correct categories and service areas
  • Hours, photos and services filled in
  • Review requests going out
  • Posts and updates kept current
02 02 On-page

Pages that match searches

One page trying to rank for everything ranks for nothing. We build a page per service, and where it makes sense, per area.

  • A page for each service you offer
  • Area pages where they earn their place
  • Titles and headings that match real searches
  • Content that answers the actual question
03 03 Technical

Technical foundations

The housekeeping that lets Google read your site properly. Unglamorous and mostly invisible, but nothing else works without it.

  • Speed and mobile performance
  • Indexing and crawl issues
  • Broken links and redirects
  • Schema and structured data
04 04 Off-page

Local signals

Being consistently listed and genuinely mentioned across the web, which is what tells Google you are a real business in a real place.

  • Consistent name, address and phone
  • Directory and citation clean-up
  • Local links from Norfolk sites
  • Reviews, which affect rank and clicks

Being invisible costs more than being unknown.

Why search matters

Someone in Norwich is searching for what you do right now. If you are not on that first screen, they are not comparing you and rejecting you. They never saw you at all.

Proof

We did this for
a Norwich business.

Soma Wellbeing Centre came to us with a site that was not working hard enough. Two clear enquiry routes later, plus a practitioner system the centre can grow without a developer.

Straight talking

Who this works for,
and who it doesn't.

SEO is a poor fit for plenty of businesses and we would rather say so before you pay for a month of it.

Yes Good fit

This is for you if

  • People search for what you do, using words you could predict
  • You are established and can wait three to six months for compounding returns
  • One extra customer a month would comfortably cover the fee
  • Your website is decent, or you are willing to fix it first
  • You serve a defined area rather than the whole country
No Poor fit

Probably not if

  • You need enquiries this week. Run ads instead, or as well
  • Nobody searches for what you sell, because it is new or impulse-led
  • You want a guaranteed position, which nobody can honestly sell you
  • Your site is fundamentally broken and you do not want to rebuild it
  • You will judge it on one month, when it needs three to six
How it works

What actually
happens.

The audit is free and comes first, so you can stop after it with no cost and no awkwardness.

  1. Step 1

    Free audit

We go through your site, your Google listing and two or three local competitors, then write up what we find and what we would fix first. No call required.

  2. Step 2

    Foundations

Technical fixes and the Google Business Profile, because these are usually the fastest wins and everything else builds on them.

  3. Step 3

    Pages

A page for each service, and area pages where they genuinely earn their place rather than as filler.

  4. Step 4

    Compounding

Reviews, local links, content and monitoring, month by month, with a report you can actually read.

Pricing

What it costs.

The audit is free. After that it is either a one-off project or part of the monthly plan, whichever suits.

Free audit

£0

A written review of your site and Google listing. No obligation, no call.

One-off project

Quote

A defined piece of work, priced up front once we know the scope.

In a growth plan

from £250/mo

SEO bundled with hosting, ads, reviews and reporting. From £250.

The free audit is genuinely free and does not require a call. Monthly plans run by Direct Debit with no contract and no notice period. We won't promise a set number of leads or a fixed position on Google, because nobody can honestly predict that before the work has run.

Questions

Common questions.

How long does local SEO take to work?

For a local business in Norwich, expect to see movement in the map results within one to three months, and meaningful movement in the organic listings in three to six. Google Business Profile work tends to show up fastest. Anyone promising results in a fortnight is guessing.

Can you guarantee I'll rank number one?

No, and nobody honestly can. Google does not sell positions and does not publish its algorithm. What we will tell you is which searches are realistically winnable for a business your size, roughly how long it should take, and what it will cost.

Is the SEO audit really free?

Yes. Send us your web address and we go through your site and your Google listing and write up what we find. There is no obligation and no call required. If the honest answer is that your site is in decent shape, that is what the audit will say.

Do I need SEO if I'm already running ads?

They do different jobs. Ads stop the day you stop paying. SEO builds up and keeps working. Most local businesses do best running ads for immediate enquiries while SEO builds underneath, then leaning more on SEO as it starts to land.

What if my website is too slow or badly built to rank?

Then we will say so rather than take a monthly fee to work around it. Sometimes the honest answer is that the site needs rebuilding first, in which case a £399 build plus a few months of SEO beats years of paying someone to push a broken site uphill.

Do you tie me into a contract?

No. Everything runs month to month with no notice period. If it is not working you can stop, and we would rather you did than keep billing you for something that is not paying for itself.
